TYPOID is on the rise in the Western Division after eight serious cases were recorded at the Lautoka Hospital last month. This was confirmed by Lautoka Hospital medical consultant Doctor Deo Narayan. The new cases recorded were three from Sabeto district, two from Lautoka and one each from Nadi, Nadroga and Ba. Health Ministry spokesman Peni Namotu said the increase in typhoid cases showed that members of the public had neglected to heed of advice from the ministry.
