KOCHI: Six people were admitted to hospitals in
Kozhikode on Monday with suspected symptoms of the
Nipah virus, which has claimed 13 lives in the state so far.
However, none of the cases have been confirmed. Health officials have prepared a list of 908 people who have come into contact with those who contracted the virus and are monitoring them.

KK Shailaja, who chaired a high-level meeting at the district collectorate, said, “The
Nipah virus infection is now under control.”
