VASCO: Mormugao taluka has seen 30 cases of dengue being reported from Sada and 10 cases from Vaddem for the period January to May, said chief officer Mormugao Municipal Council MMC ) Agnelo Fernandes. Khandeparkar said the CISF and MPT colonies were vulnerable. Incidence of malaria in the taluka has been brought under control.Speaking at a joint meeting with MMC, health officer, Vasco Urban Health Centre, Dr Rashmi Khandeparkar said the taluka remained vulnerable to dengue and a lot was needed to be done to bring the disease under control.Fernandes asked health officials to take up awareness campaigns as incidence of the disease increases during the monsoon.
