Bhubaneswar: As a matter of concern for the state health department, the first case of suspected dengue death of the season has been reported in the city on Thursday with the death of a woman patient at a private hospital.
The woman has been identified as Pratima Das, a resident of Chandrasekharpur area in the city.
Family members of the deceased got her admitted along with another relative in the private hospital around three days ago. While her relative’s condition is stable, the woman died of fever and dengue-like symptoms this morning.
However, no official confirmation of the dengue death has been made by the Odisha Government so far.
