STDs on the rise in Clinton County

Sexually transmitted diseases are on the rise in Clinton County.

The Health Department released new data on STDs Friday. It shows a 175 percent increase in gonorrhea, a 33 percent increase in syphilis and a 13 percent increase in chlamydia when compared to the first part of last year.

The county says it's now focusing its efforts on prevention, screening and treatment.
