Rabies alert issued in Walton County

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — A rabies alert has been issued from the Florida Department of Health in Walton County.

Two foxes from behind the Freeport area tested positive for the disease in the past two weeks.

Officials remind resident to make sure pets are vaccinated.

If you or your family is injured by an unfamiliar animal you are advised to seek medical attention immediately.
