KOLHAPUR: Three more cases of dengue have been confirmed since the drive to find out the total number of people suffering from this vector-borne disease started on Wednesday.
Since the last three days, the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) has reported 55 high fever cases admitted in private hospitals that are yet to be confirmed for dengue.
The KMC has collected blood samples of some of these patients and after testing in a laboratory, three confirmed cases were found.

Meanwhile, in a meeting held on Friday, the corporators took the civic authorities to task stating that no action is being taken against doctors for misreporting the cases and against builders and society operators that allow water to stagnate in the basements of the buildings and apartments.
