MONDAY 3:30 P.M. UPDATE: The boil water order has been lifted. All Laughlin customers may resume normal water use.

The Big Bend Water District and Southern Nevada Water Authority have completed all water quality sampling and analysis confirming that water supplied to the Laughlin community meets state and federal standards.

SUNDAY 1:15 P.M. UPDATE | The boil water order for the Laughlin resort area remains in effect through at least some time Monday, according to water officials.

People in the resort corridor should drink only bottled water.

"Water service has been restored to all customers in the resort corridor, but we are doing water quality testing and we'll should know the analysis sometime Monday and we will then consult with state health department officials about the boil order," said Bronson Mack, spokesman for the Las Vegas Valley Water District, adding that the boil water order is not related to any known contamination issues but to the fact that the water pressure dropped below industry standards when the main ruptured Saturday.

Laughlin residents do not have to boil water because they are serviced by a water infrastructure that is separate from the resort area.
