Second case of West Nile reported in Dallas County
DALLAS - A second person in Dallas County has come down with the West Nile virus.
The health department reports the patient is from Irving and lives in the 75061 zip code. That’s in the Airport Freeway area between Loop 12 and Highway 161.
Neighbors are encouraged to take preventative measures to reduce their risk.
This season, mosquito samples have also tested positive in Balch Springs, Dallas, Desoto, Garland, Highland Park, Irving, Mesquite and University Park.
