CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The next major movie shooting in cincinnati will be one exclusive to Netflix. "Point Blank" is a remake of a 2010 French thriller.

The local film commission announced Tuesday it will begin shooting August 6.

The movie will star Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo, who have appeared together before in Marvel's "Captain America" series.

Mackie plays an emergency room nurse who helps a wounded murder suspect escape from the hospital, after a rival gang kidnaps the injured man's pregnant wife.

Cincinnati native Johanna Byer is one of the producers. "Everyone in Hollywood, we're all dreamers. Even in my wildest imagination, I never thought I'd be making a film in my hometown. It's amazing not only to be back in my childhood bedroom but it's so special to see how the city has grown, and changed and become even better than when I left 13 years ago."

The production is looking for close to 500 extras. To apply, email a recent photo and contact information to pointblankextras@gmail.com.
