81-year-old Virginia man who went for a walk, found dead in Runnymede Park

HERNDON, Va. (ABC7) — An 81-year-old Virginia man who had been reported missing was found dead in a Herndon park Thursday morning.

Xuanfang Zhou’s family told police that he went for a walk Wednesday morning and didn’t come back. With the help of a K9 team, police searched the area but couldn’t find him, according to a statement from Fairfax County Police.

Thursday morning, Zhou’s body was found in Runnymede Park on Herndon Parkway. Police say that the preliminary investigation found no evidence of criminal activity in his death.

Fairfax County Police are working with Herndon Police in the continuing investigation.
