DeSoto Animal Control has notified the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office of a skunk that has tested positive for Rabies. The skunk was found around the Linwood Road area in Stonewall, LA. Please be alert to any strange animal behavior or nocturnal animals out during daylight hours. If you see such behavior, do not make contact with the animal and contact DeSoto Animal Control at (318) 871-2900.

Animal Control asked that the public please keep your pets up to date on all vaccinations and shots as well.
