BEIJING: A Chinese government probe has confirmed irregularities by a drug maker recently forced to withdraw its
rabies vaccines from several countries and the domestic market.
An investigating team of the State Council, has found that the company,
Changchun Changsheng
Life Sciences Limited, had been violating national drug standards for vaccines since 2014 and had remained mostly undetected.
The violations included blending expired fluid to produce certain products and falsifying production dates, thus endangering patient safety.
At least 15 people, including the company’s chairman, Gao Junfang, were detained.
