Dengue count reaches 19 in Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH: A migrant labourer tested positive for dengue taking the total count to 19 in the city.

A migrant labourer tested positive for dengue taking the total count to 19 in the city.

As many as 21 cases malaria and two cases of chikungunya have already been reported from Chandigarh. At present, city hospitals are offering free dengue-testing facility. Fever cases have also increased in the city.

Dos and don’ts

  • Do not allow water to stagnate in and around houses.
  • Remove water from air coolers and other small containers at least once in a week. 
  • Always keep overhead tanks properly covered.
  • Throw discarded containers, tyres, pitchers and pots on the rooftop. 
  • Don’t take aspirin for fever and body ache in the dengue season.
