Farragut West Metro station reopens after evacuation due to bomb threat

WASHINGTON (WJLA) - The Farragut West Metro station has reopened after it was evacuated Monday afternoon due to a bomb threat.

Employees at the Metro station told ABC7 it was evacuated around 4:40 p.m. because of the threat. It reopned around 5:10 p.m.


Orange, Blue and Silver line trains were temporarily bypassing Farragut West station while police investigated, Metro said. Bus service was available to and from the McPherson Square Metro station during the evacuation.

Farragut West is located at 900 18th Street, NW.
