RANSON, W.Va. — The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County (W.Va.) will host its annual fall rabies clinic Saturday, Sept. 8, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Southern States in Ranson.

Dr. Alice Sudduth, DVM will vaccinate dogs and cats older than 3 months old. All dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in carriers. There will be a secure, enclosed area available to safely vaccinate cats.

The vaccination cost is $10 for each pet.

If your dog or cat previously has been vaccinated, pet owners must bring previous rabies certificates to receive a three-year vaccination and certificate. If this is a dog's or cat's first rabies vaccine or pets are overdue, the vaccine will be valid for one year.
