Jalandhar: Under the ongoing ‘Tandarust Punjab Mission’ in the district the anti-larvae cell of the Health Department and the Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, on Friday detected 27 cases of dengue larvae at various localities.
During the checking, the team checked 372 houses, 82 waste containers, two tyres and 101 air coolers.
The members of the team also had detailed interaction with people during which they apprised them of that these places could act as a breeding ground for mosquitoes to spread diseases.
The members of the team said the drive was aimed at identifying vulnerable places for producing the larvae of mosquitoes. —TNS
