Man identified from fatal Decatur shooting

DECATUR, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — UPDATE:

The victim from the shooting was confirmed to be Keith Brewer, as of Tuesday.

Original:

A man is dead after a shooting in Decatur Monday.

The Decatur Police Department says officers were sent to the 700 block of Cassell Court around 3:22 a.m. Monday for a shots fired, victim down call.

When officers arrived they found a 29-year-old man who had been shot, lying in the street.

EMS was called, but the victim died at the scene.

Detectives were called in to process the scene for evidence as well as interview witnesses.
