W.T. White students to be tested for tuberculosis after 2 confirmed cases

"The health and safety of all Dallas ISD students is our top priority," the district said in a statement. "We will continue to work closely with [DCHHS] to ensure the wellness of our students and staff."

Dallas County Health and Human Services will be at W.T. White High School on Wednesday, performing skin tests on staff and students who may have been exposed to two confirmed cases of tuberculosis.

"The health and safety of all Dallas ISD students is our top priority," the district said in a statement. "We will continue to work closely with [DCHHS] to ensure the wellness of our students and staff."

The confirmed cases are brothers who have been undergoing treatment for two months, KXAS-TV (NBC5) reported.

Tuberculosis symptoms include fatigue, weight loss, and coughing or respiratory issues.
