LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — A coroner's office says the body of 20-year-old man has been found nearly two weeks after his kayak capsized in Lake Michigan north of Chicago.
The Lake County Coroner's Office says Sebastian Duncan's body was found over the weekend.
Officials say Duncan lived in the northern Chicago suburb of Glenview.
Coast Guard officials say Duncan and another man went out in Lake Michigan in separate kayaks near Lake Forest and encountered rough waters amid high winds about 9 p.m. Aug. 27. One man was able to swim to shore and seek help after both kayaks took on water and overturned.
Crews searched by boat and helicopter that night, but weren't able to find Duncan.
