CHEROKEE Co., SC (WSPA) – SC Dept. of Health and Environmental Control says a House Finch has tested positive for West Nile in the Tank Branch area of Gaffney, according to the City of Gaffney.

The affected area was treated two weeks ago in the city’s normal vector control program, but will be treated again immediately, according to the city.

The spraying will begin 7 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 18.

Additional spraying will be in 10 – 14 day intervals.
