Shops have been forced to recall a brand of liquid egg white because it's been found it could cause diarrhoea, abdominal cramps and fever.

A batch of Dr Zak's Barn Farmed Liquid Egg White contains potentially deadly salmonella, according to the Food Standards Agency.

The authority that oversees food safety has warned customers not to eat or drink the product but to return it to the store it came from.

The FSA says a full refund is available for anyone who returns the 970ml bottle of liquid egg white.

Only Dr Zak's Barn Farmed Liquid Egg White with a use by date of December 29 is the subject of the recall with no other Dr Zak's products known to be affected.
