Boil Order Issued For La Grange Park

The village said the order is in place for 48 hours but could be lifted earlier.

LA GRANGE PARK, IL — The village of La Grange Park has issued a precautionary boil water order for drinking and cooking uses. The village said the order is in place for 48 hours but could be lifted earlier.

At 10 a.m. Thursday, the water department was transitioning water from the water tower to pumping water in the reservoirs in order to perform maintenance, the village said. During this transition, there was an unanticipated interruption in water flow, which reduced pressure in the system and left some homes without water temporarily.

According to the village, the EPA recommends boiling water for a minimum of one minute before being used for drinking.
