Third death in Friuli from West Nile virus

A 58-year-old man, who died Wednesday, was the third victim of West Nile virus (WNV) in one month in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

Trieste, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Oct, 2018 ) :A 58-year-old man, who died Wednesday, was the third victim of West Nile virus (WNV) in one month in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

The man had been hospitalised in intensive care in Udine for the past 10 days.

There have been five documented cases of WNV in Udine over the past four months.

The other two fatalities occurred in Latisana and Prata diPordenone.
