Two more swine flu cases confirmed

Two more cases of swine flu cases were reported from the city on Friday, taking the total cases to five this month.

A woman from Yendada and man from NAD Kotha Road Junction were admitted to a private hospital where they were confirmed positive for swine flu. They are undergoing treatment and their condition is said to be stable.

Another 30-year-old woman from Kasimkota was admitted to the Government Hospital for Chest Diseases on Friday with suspected symptoms. “She was first admitted to a private hospital before being brought here after her condition deteriorated. She has been tested positive for dengue. We have sent the swab sample to the Virology Lab at KGH for confirmation,” Hospital Superintendent Dr. G. Sambasiva Rao said.
