Pike County inmate tests positive for hepatitis A

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – An inmate in the Pike county jail has tested positive for hepatitis A.

The jailer at Pike County Detention Center says the prisoner has been medically quarantined.

Other inmates who had any contact with the infected prisoner are being tested for hepatitis A and getting the vaccine, according to the jailer.
