KELOLAND News learned that the federal investigation is complete into a Legionnaires’ disease outbreak in Sioux Falls.
Federal investigators sampled 20 sites across town, and all of those samples tested negative for the bacteria that causes the disease. That means we may never know the cause.
The outbreak sent 16 people to the hospital and one person died.
If more people get sick, the state health department says there may be additional testing.
