Dept. of Health reports two deaths due to influenza

Two people have died from influenza in Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health confirms that two deaths have been recorded in the state from flu-related complications since the beginning of the flu season Sept. 1. The agency says the deaths occurred between Sept. 1 and Oct. 30. Both deaths were reported in northeast Oklahoma.

The state has seen 56 people hospitalized this season due to the flu. Of those, six people were hospitalized in the past week.
