Flu activity is slowly increasing in the state, according to a report released by the Connecticut Department of Public Health.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that 1.8 percent of people are heading to the doctor for flu symptoms.

Statewide, emergency department visits for the flu decreased slightly last week from 6.3 percent to 6.2 percent.
