Glasgow travel chaos after ScotRail passenger goes into LABOUR onboard low level train as police and ambulance crews race to the scene

A PREGNANT passenger went into labour onboard a Glasgow train tonight sparking travel chaos on the low level line.

Mercy crews raced to the scene at Glasgow Central Station after the alarm was raised at around 6pm.

The unexpected arrival comes as another passenger fell ill on the same journey with chest pains.

We told earlier how ScotRail chiefs confirmed two separate customers "became unwell" on the 5.03pm train from Larkhall to Milngavie.

Journeys from the low level line were affected while cops and paramedics attend to the passengers.

Posting on Twitter, they said: "We're currently assisting the police and ambulance service with a person who has become unwell on one of our trains.

"Services may be affected at Glasgow Central low level."

Just five minutes later, they added: "There is now two separate customers who have become unwell. Paramedics are now on site.

Both passengers are now being cared for by ambulance crews.

Services have now resumed as normal on all journeys from Glasgow Central's low level.

A spokesman for the rail giant said: “We are sorry to any customers who have been impacted by this disruption, which was caused by two customers requiring urgent medical attention.”
