Magoffin County food worker tests positive for hepatitis A

MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Someone who works at the senior center and Pizza-N-More in Magoffin County, tested positive for hepatitis A on November 21, according to the Magoffin County Health Department.

Health officials say the risk of the disease spreading to customers or residents is low.

They say the person worked at both places for less than a month and did not know they were infected when hired.

Both facilities have been cleaned and sanitized.

Everyone is encouraged to get the hepatitis A vaccines.
