Number of influenza deaths increases in Oklahoma

The number of influenza deaths since Sept. 1 has increased to six, according to the Oklahoma Department of Health.

New figures show four people from northeast Oklahoma, one person in Tulsa County and one person in southwest Oklahoma have died from the flu.

Of the six deaths, five of the people were age 65 or older. One person between the age of 50-64 has also died from the flu.
