(WAVE) - Health officials in Indiana are warning Hoosiers to take precautions against hepatitis A.

Nearly 700 outbreak-related cases have been confirmed since November 2017.

Indiana normally sees about 20 cases in a 12-month period.

States across the U.S., including Kentucky, are seeing an uptick in hepatitis A cases.

Symptoms include fatigue, loss of appetite, stomach pain, nausea and jaundice, which usually appear within two months of exposure.
