AHMEDABAD: The city recorded 14 dengue cases in the first eight of December, 13 cases of falciparum and three cases of
chikungunya. Last December, the city saw 65 dengue cases and 61 falciparum cases.
"With temperatures dipping, the number of dengue cases are coming down. But if daytime temperatures remain warm, between 30°C and 35°C, the number of cases may rise," said a senior AMC health official.
Among waterborne diseases, AMC hospitals registered 173 cases of diarrhoea and vomiting, 62 typhoid and 55
jaundice cases, in the first eight days of December.
