Rams injury report: Todd Gurley, Justin Davis, Samson Ebukam DNP

For the first time in a long time, the Los Angeles Rams actually have some injuries to note on their injury report ahead of their game against the Cardinals. A trio of Rams missed practice Wednesday, while Arizona has a long list of banged up players:

The Rams only held a walkthrough and not a regular practice, but running backs Todd Gurley and Justin Davis and linebacker Samson Ebukam were listed as DNP’s. No other players were listed with any designation.

The fact that Gurley didn’t participate at all is enough to have Rams fans concerned, but Sean McVay said earlier Wednesday that the team expects Gurley to play this Sunday. Davis’ status is more up in the air, and McVay said that the recently signed C.J. Anderson could play a role this week.

With fellow backup running back Malcolm Brown on injured reserve, Anderson could be thrust into immediate playing time if Davis does in fact miss the game. Ebukam was the final player listed, and missed practice with an unknown illness. Players almost never miss games after being listed with an illness, so there’s no reason to believe Ebukam is in any danger of not playing.

The Cardinals are significantly more banged up, with starters like Budda Baker, Ricky Seals-Jones, J.J. Nelson, and Markus Golden all missing practice. Assuming Gurley plays, it looks like the Rams will once again have a decided health advantage.
