Fox tests positive for rabies in Woodford County

The Woodford County Health Department says a fox has tested positive for rabies.

The fox was found dead around the Frankfort Road area between Versailles and Franklin County.

Any person exposed to this animal is recommended to consult a physician immediately.

The health department encourages people to get their pets a rabies vaccination.

You should never handle wild animals.
