Yerevan /Mediamax/. Director General of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Armenian Healthcare Ministry Artavazd Vanyan has revealed there is one registered case of death from H1N1 flu in Armenia since the start of 2019.
According to him, the diseased is a woman who suffered from other illnesses as well.
Mr. Vanyan added there are seriously ill patients and he could not rule out more casualties.
“We have tested about 549 samples and found out that 9% of them (51) contain H1N1 and 24% indicate other respiratory infections or viruses,” he said.
Artavazd Vanyan also said 1251 people have applied to the polyclinics against 967 registered last year.
Inpatient facilities are currently caring for 693 patients as compared to 658 they admitted in 2018.
