A primary school is shut due to a "serious" virus outbreak.
Portesham Primary School will be closed until Monday (21) due to an outbreak of what is thought to be a flu type virus.
The school made the announcement yesterday.
An announcement on its website reads: "Following a serious outbreak of a ‘flu’ type virus the decision has been made to close Portesham Primary School from Tuesday 15th January and re-opening on Monday 21st January."
Today, the school's board of governors said the decision was made as a matter of precaution.
