Children With Measles Pass Through Portland International AIrport

Officials say there are two confirmed cases of measles and 11 other suspected cases. The confirmed cases were kids who passed through PDX.

PORTLAND, OR – Two children with measles passed through Portland International Airport last week while contagious. Officials from Clark County Public Health say that the kids – aged between one and 10-years-old and the other between 11 and 18-years-old.

The county health officer say that the two children were at the airport on Sunday, Jan 16, 2019.

Officials are looking to contact anyone who may have been at the airport between 10:45 in the morning and 3:45 in the afternoon.. They are particularly interested in people who were in Concourse D and the Delta Sky Lounge.

The day before the children had been at the Church of Truth at 7250 NE 41st Avenue in Vancouver.

Anyone who was in either location at the same time as the children may have been exposed to measles.

Clark County health officials say that it's not clear that this incident is related to the case that they announced earlier this month or the 11 other suspected cases that they are investigating.
