A total of 2,794 new flu cases have been confirmed across Pennsylvania, bringing the season tally to 12,062, and five more deaths attributed to the flu, bringing the season tally to 15, according to the state Department of Health.
Experts say only a small fraction of cases are confirmed, as many people who get the flu aren't tested.
The latest report, dated Jan. 12, shows a season tally of 340 confirmed cases in Lancaster County, an increase of 92 since last report.
The department doesn't say where in the state flu deaths happened, but at last report the four Lancaster County hospitals said they have not had any.
Of the people who have died, the department reported one was in the 14-49 age group; four were in the 50-64 age group; and 10 were age 65 or older.
