After two confirmed cases of measles in the metro Atlanta area, the Department of Public Health wants you to protect yourself and your children from the illness.
Measles is a contagious disease. It starts with a fever and after a few days, a rash starts to develop.
The DPH says infants, children and pregnant women are most vulnerable to the disease.
The district's health director Charles Ruis speaks about the recent measles cases.
"There's no current threat from [the recent cases]," said Ruis. "There's no reason to be alarmed, but this case serves as a good reminder to all of us that we need to have our children vaccinated."
