The Good Doctor 2×11 Quarantine Part Two preview

The ER was quarantined on the mid-season finale of The Good Doctor and Dr. Lim (Christina Chang) was left fighting for her life.

The cause of the outbreak was two patients who had returned from Malaysia suffering from a viral respiratory disease. They died and the virus started to quickly spread so the hospital had no option than to go into emergency quarantine.

That meant that Shaun (Freddie Highmore), Morgan (Fiona Gubelmann), Dr. Lim and Alex’s (Will Yun Lee) estranged son were all trapped inside. Morgan kept busy treating a paramedic who had a crush on her but was devastated when he died.

Lim isolated herself in an attempt to prevent the virus from spreading further but collapsed as she was talking Morgan through a surgery. Shaun also collapsed, unable to cope with the situation around him and Alex’s son suffered an asthma attack, which the other patients mistook from the virus taking hold.

Elsewhere Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez) and CLaire (Antonia Thomas) struggled to keep a leukaemia patient alive and Melendez tried to resuscitate him despite a DNR. Lea (Paige Spara) took Dr. Glassman (Richard Schiff) for an MRI and they discovered his tumour was back.

The next episode of the season is Quarantine Part Two. Dr Murphy feels overwhelmed by the chaos and noise in the emergency room. Meanwhile, Dr Reznick struggles to keep her patients alive and Dr Lim fights for her life.
