Boil Order Issued for Part of Hickory Water Dist.

Some customers of the Hickory Water District are currently under a boil water advisory until further notice.

According to a spokesman, the affected area is on Highway 1276 (Key Bottom Road) from Carter Road to US Highway 45, and also includes Etheridge Street and Crouch Drive. 

No estimate was given for how long the precautionary measures will be in place.

Customers in the affected area should boil any water that will be consumed in beverages or cooking.
