Greece: death toll of flu rises to 22 since late November


(MENAFN) Greek authorities declared that a woman, aged 78, has died on Crete island, increasing the death toll of flu complications to 22 since late November.

Greece's SKAI television revealed that the elderly woman had been admitted in intensive care for two weeks and had respiratory issues before being infected by flu virus.

A few hours earlier, a girl, aged 5, has also died of the flu virus.

Last week, Greece's Center for Disease Prevention and Control (KEELPNO) had reported 18 fatalities since the beginning of the flu season
