Rochester, N.Y. – The Monroe County Health Department says one person has died this season from the flu.
New flu numbers recorded through February 2 say one person in the demographic of people 50-64 years old has died this season.
In all, there have been 881 recorded cases of the flu this season, with 132 people hospitalized.
Around this time last year, there were more than 3,000 recorded cases of the flu. Nine people had died as a result of the illness.
