The North Bay & District major bantam AAA Trappers travelled to Sault Ste. Marie this past weekend and split two games with the Greyhounds. On Saturday night the Greyhounds came away with a 3-1 win. Dominik Godin had the lone goal with an assist from Todd Violette. Caelan McAuliffe had a solid performance in net despite the loss.
On Sunday, the Trappers rebounded to win 2-1. It was easily the major bantams most complete game of the season and they were rewarded for their effort. Caleb Sanders anchored the team between the pipes while Brett Richardson and Jake Fullerton scored the goals. Richardson also picked up an assist while Nico Laforge and Ben Harris also registered helpers.
The major bantams host the Soo this weekend in Powassan with games Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m.
