Tidwell wins pharmacist award

The United Family announced Crockett Tidwell, clinical pharmacy manager and vaccine specialist for the company, has been named one of six national winners in the 2019 Immunization Champion Awards by the The American Pharmacists Association (APhA).

The Immunization Champion Awards annually honors individuals and organizations who have made extraordinary contributions toward improved vaccination rates within their communities.

Tidwell is recognized in the newly added category of Travel Health for his efforts to educate communities in The United Family’s trade areas on necessary travel vaccines, and ensure their availability at all pharmacies within The United Family.

“Crockett has been instrumental in developing and implementing many clinical aspects of our pharmacy operation including travel health," Tim Purser, director of pharmacy for The United Family, said. His passion for helping improve the overall health of the communities we serve is evidenced by his work to provide information and access to travel vaccines for so many of our community members heading to under-served communities around the world."
