More people have been hospitalised after taking an alleged bad batch of drugs, this time in Llandudno.

Several people have fallen ill after taking what North Wales Police said may be a bad batch of heroin and/or cocaine in the Llandudno area.

The new report comes just a week after several people were taken to hospital following a similar incident in Colwyn Bay.

A Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board spokesperson said: “We have concerns about a bad batch of heroin and/or cocaine reported in North Wales over the last 24 hours, which has resulted in a small number of people attending hospital.

"We want to raise awareness of the risk associated with drug use, and remind people and their family and friends of what they can do to reduce these risks.

"This includes carrying Naloxone which can be obtained from local drug agencies. For more information, visit http://www.dan247.org.uk/."

A North Wales Police spokesperson added: "Users are urged to take extra care and we ask family and friends to spread the message to those they have concerns for."

Police are calling for anyone with any information on the matter to contact 101.
