Measles outbreak over in Champaign-Urbana

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCCU) — Some good news in Champaign - Urbana as the health department said the measles outbreak is officially over.

The news is not so good around the country though.

The Center for Disease Control said the number of measles cases in 2019 is already the second highest they've seen in the U.S. since the disease was eliminated in 2000.

A total of 387 cases have been confirmed so far this year.
