WASA Advises Citizens To Boil Water Before Use

The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has advised its consumers to boil water before drinking in order to avoid falling ill with XDR Typhoid and other water borne illnesses
The spokesman Nadeem Yousuf here Monday advised the consumers to essentially boil the drinking water even though WASA supplied filtered water to its consumers.
He said despite its limited resources, the agency tried to provide completely filtered water to the consumers.
"There are consumers who hire non-certified plumbers to fit their water supply lines which leaves leakages in the local as well as main supply lines, leading to impurities in water," he maintained.
He said the untimely use of suction water pumps was another reason for supply of impure water.
Yousuf also requested the consumers to pay their water bills timely so that WASA could continue providing them uninterrupted water supply and drainage services.
